You've seen my photo history.  There's evidence if I ever saw it!  And I did it while eating only foods that I like.  And without the struggle. And exercising less and more easily that ever before.  But it wasn't always so.

 My Story

You see, I have what I call a "long and colorful" diet and exercise history.  To be more exact, 30 years
of constantly battling weight, being at war with food and my body, and not having the lasting success OR real results that I craved, no matter what I did.
 
I couldn't seem to realize the dream I was looking for:  lasting weight loss, high energy, great shape..and good eating.  Without being a slave to diet and exercise.  I craved a simple solution that eluded me for decades. I even got my M.A. in Physical Education along the way. Yet lasting time in the weight loss winner's circle still eluded me!

Defining Moment 

The turning point came for me over 10 years ago when I became, ultimately, exhausted and discouraged from the constant battle.  I was working full time during the day, teaching fitness at night, and squeezing my own workouts in between while meticulously trying to manage my diet, with intermittent and hard one results.

It all came to a head one day that I clearly remember. It was the culmination of a growing feeling that finally peaked. 

Picture this.  I walked in the door after a long day at work, weary and sweaty from yet another 1 1/2 hour workout at the gym.  My gym back was digging into one shoulder while my case of papers from work carved into the other.  I was tired and hungry, and just wanted to lay down, eat, and sleep!  

Here's the thing.   What watered that "growing feeling" was the fact that as hard as I was working and as carefully as I was managing my diet, I was getting diminishing returns.  I was, essentially, eating less, exercising more, and slowly gaining anyway. Talk about not fair!  None of it was giving me what I really wanted anyway, which was the pleasure of fitness with freedom to eat and get on with my life, too!

Pursuit of The Dream

It was at this point that I decided there must be a way to have my fitness dream:  to be slim and energetic, enjoy what I ate, exercise a little, and live the life that I love.   I believed completely in this possibility.

My vision as my guide, I stepped forward with the belief that I would find the solutions that would deliver. 

And that is exactly what happened!   I now enjoy astonishing, successful results, including eating freedom and an activity approach that demands very little "workout" time and yet gives me oodles of energy to be as enjoyably active as I like!

carolyn_red_edit I have tried so many things over the years, and things work for awhile and then they do not work at all.  If I could finally "get it right" after so many years I would just be so grateful.

Having worked with Lani before, I knew that anything that Lani does is exceptional. So, if her Tools for Transformation class could finally put the nutrition and fitness pieces together into one whole picture then I wanted in. So, I jumped in. 
 
I just did not realize that I had been sabotaging myself. After talking to Lani, she set me straight on the importance of the assignments and features she provided in the session. That got me going. This started a whole awakening process.
 
One of my goals was to lead a more active life. A year ago my weight was at an all time high, and I just did not have much energy or desire to do much of anything. I had actually given up on so many things in life because I felt like I was about twenty years older than my real age!

As a result of taking Lani's Transformation Tools Intensive, I have been able to embrace my goal of moving from a passive to active attitude. I have finally made a real commitment to make workouts a priority!  In the process, I have discovered myself,after having ignored same for so many years.
 
In addition, I am now down over 34 inches and 43 pounds from where I was last year at this time. Over 7 inches in my waist alone!  
The real prize, however, is the new attitude about my energy, health, and fitness, and the confidence to continue to move forward into lasting success.

Out of Pain and Into Control of My Health!

Lani has led me to a place where I am no longer in physical pain on a daily basis. 

My fitness level is optimal--At the age of 51, I feel as though I'm healthier than I've ever been.

My attitude has improved:  I stand with better posture, I'm confident that I can meet physical challenges, and I no longer worry about suffering pain from congenital defects or injuries.

Being able to overcome scoliosis through exercise is simply awesome to me!  I feel in control of my health, and I wish I had known how to maintain my health many years earlier.  Back pain used to be simply a part of my life--and chiropractics, as well--but T-Tapp and Lani have changed all that.

With Lani's Coaching, I moved to the "next level"....but Lani has helped me reach many levels over the past six years, since she stresses how we must each individually work to our max.  This has helped me to reach a level of fitness and well-being that has exceeded my expectations!

dianaWhen I took my first class with Lani, I was recovering from knee problems.  I found Lani's instruction style very safe and this encouraged me to participate.  I now barely remember I had knee problems!

My physical activity has became more efficient - meaning greater results in less time. As I have added yoga to my exercise mix I was pleased and impressed to see how good my balance  has become (I am sooo much better at balance poses) and my overall strength.  

Probably the coolest thing is knowing that I look like someone a lot younger than I am -- I recently wore an evening dress to an event that I had not worn in 18 years.  Comparing photos side by side you'd not believe so much time had elapsed!

I now enjoy improved body awareness in terms of posture, which translates into more effective weight training, less injury prone movement, and the ability to stand for longer times without back aches. Weight management is much easier, too!

Without Lani I could never have made the progress that I have over the last year. 

I have regained the health and well being that I had before a very serious and debilitating injury. In addition, I have seen radical shifts in my physique that I had never been able to achieve before.

Fundamental Shift in Thinking, And From Size 22W to Size 8!   ~Charlotte S.
