What is the Muscles Mud and Merlot Retreat?

We’ll meet at the Silverado resort and spa for expert workout training and instruction, blocks of down time for spa treatments, and your own perfect balance of solitude and talk with new and old friends.

And sneak in a little wine, if you like, as well.

Here is the simple yet very special plan


Here’s what I’ll do:

In addition to arranging the event location, I coordinate and teach the exercise sessions, and provide expert coaching and instruction throughout the weekend. This will include opening meeting, special evening programs, 6 workout sessions, extended stretch sessions and guided relaxation.

I am also available for additional (not included) bookings of private coaching and consultation on an individual basis as time allows.

There may be packages for retreat day visits as well as for the entire weekend, depending on availability. Space for this event is limited and priority seating goes to those who plan to book the entire weekend package.

Here’s what you do:

1) Register for the event activities and sessions

2) Book your room and lodging at Silverado independently of the event registration.

Note: it is not required that attendees stay at Silverado to be able to attend the Retreat, so if you live locally or have made other arrangements you’re all set!

That’s right. I am planning the event, and you are booking your room!

I have worked closely with management to secure some special room rates (you won’t believe the rate I was able to get!).

But they will only be available while rooms are available and Silverado is booking rapidly for the Fall, as you can imagine!

3) Finally, you’ll come to Napa, attend as many sessions as you like, and enjoy a fabulous fitness experience in a spa setting.


Event Overview

6 group workout/exercise sessions are planned for the course of the 4 days of the retreat.

Over the course of the event, you will receive instruction, coaching, demonstration, and practice.

The emphasis for “Activity/Workout*” sessions will be mindfulness of movement, accuracy, effectiveness, and safety.

This will include multiple aspects of the T-Tapp Workout:

Proposed Retreat Plan and Schedule of Activities:

Participants are welcome to attend any and all sessions. Though there is lots of time in “Activity” session, the intention is to provide rigorous training in an environment supportive of renewal, safety, and health. You can feel free to rest and/or take notes or make observations as desired over the course of the weekend should you so desire.

  • Thursday, November 5:

7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Welcome workout and get together! We’ll “unkink” from he rigors of travel and get acquainted.

  • Friday, November 6:

8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Activity/Workout* Session

10:30 a.m – 2:30 p.m. Individually as you arrange: spa treatments, lunch, private consultation bookings with Lani

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 FitDream Fusion: targeting backyards and bellies, this session is designed to give you a backside “lift” and tummy tuck by using targeted techniques from multiple disciplines.  Be prepared to leave with your “rear view” feeling an inch higher.   Stretching and Guided Relaxation included, of course!

Friday Evening program presentation:

7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. “YOU Are The Magic Bullet!” (aka Fitness is an inside job) with Lani Muelrath;  PLUS ” Top Muscles to Target for Body Sculpting”

  • Saturday, November 7:

8:00 – a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Activity/Workout Session*

10:30 a.m – 2:30 p.m.: Individually as you arrange: spa treatments, lunch, private consultation bookings with Lani

lunavineyards11:45 – 1:15 Luna Vineyards wine tasting option:  for those who’d like to join us, we’ll leave Silverado 11:45 with approximate return 1:15.  Carpool.  No host ($15 pp; share glass option $7.50/pp).

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: By Popular Demand:  As a group, we will decide what best meets YOUR needs and desires.  We can make this another targeted session as on Friday afternoon, and/or T-Tapp Tutorials as needed. Stretch and Guided Relaxation included, of course!

5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday Dinner Party! For everyone who’d like to join in the festivities, we’ll venture to my favorite Napa restaurant, The Red Hen Cantina, for a festive, no host dinner.  Everything from raspberry margaritas to garden salads, endless bowls of salsa and everything in between.

7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: NEW! EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) teacher Susan Scheskie will be presenting and teaching strategies of this powerful process.

  • Sunday, November 8:

8:00 – a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: A session to reconnect and review with the strategies we’ve studied and reinforced in training over the course of the retreat.  A final stretch and Guided Relaxation, too.

Oh WOW, this looks soooooooooo good Lani! I really want to be there – especially for the Fri night session – “YOU are the magic bullet” and “fitness is an inside job” are exactly what I need to learn/strive for – those phrases capture it perfectly!
I’ve already started working on getting there – hope there will be room once I figure it all out.
